new summer makeup with bareMinerals

New seasons always have me thinking about closet and make up refreshers.  For my closet I alway like to get some fresh whites (I just got a new white crew neck tee and white muscle tank from Everlane) to make sure I have some bright staples to mix and match.  With makeup I'm always thinking fresh mascara, what colors I'm wearing most, and then taking note of how the changing season affects my skin -- will it be more dry or oily? will I be more tan or less?  And as always, my love affair with bareMinerals comes perfectly in play with this season change with two new launches!

The first is a product is my hands down favorite foundation -- bareMinerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream.  When it first launched there were 10 shades to choose from the the ranged in darkness for cool, neutral, and warm skin tones.  But the NEW launch of the gel cream has added 6 NEW shades so you can be sure to find your perfect match.  For instance, maybe your usually a vanilla but you get a bit of a summer tan and might want to bump up a half step to the new wheat shade which is a good in between then jumping all the way up to a deeper shade.  You can read more what I love about this foundation in this post, but it really is the perfect solution for summer skin.  Its light coverage that evens your skin tone without feeling heavy or oiled up.  You feel the hydration immediately, its my favorite part of my routine.  (You can use your fingers or a sponge, but I prefer the smoothing face brush for application).

And brand new - love this finishing duo - the NEW bareMinerals Invisible Light Translucent Powder Duo.  I've been loving using this combo in this new warmer season in place of my all over mineral veil.  Because the weather and humidity (and even this pregnancy) have my skin doing all sorts of craziness, this combo of matte & glow give me the perfect flexibility in one product to touch up all my areas and give the perfect finish.  Using the dual finish brush, I like to use the natural hair (brown side) with the matte powder to set my make up on my forehead, the creases of my nose and my chin -- it absorbs oil people!  Then I flip my brush to the synthetic (white) side and apply glow to the very top of my cheek bones above my blush and down the top of my chin for the slightest highlight and accentuating finish.  Love it.

You can find both the complexion rescue cream and the translucent powder duo at bareMinerals boutiques or bareMinerals.com.  Also available at Sephora, Macys, Ulta, Dillards and several fine spas and salons.
