blowouts, baby bumps, sunnies, and hieroglyphics

Last week my friend Cameron and I enjoyed a fun girls afternoon of some pampering and city exploring.  Just the two of us with no kids in tow!  Before we left I put on a favorite SOON maternity top, grabbed my new ralph by ralph lauren sunnies, and a hat.  Yes... a hat.  Because our first stop for the afternoon was The Dry House and I was leaving my hair to the professionals.

Neither Cameron or I had ever had a blowout and it was a super fun experience.  Nestled in green hills The Dry House was a cozy and peaceful place where you can walk in frazzled in a baseball hat and walk out feeling rested, fun, and chic and of course... with great hair.  The vibe was perfectly Nashville and my stylist was attentive and gentle as she sought to give me fierce hair, a quiet moment for a busy mom, and was great to chat with.  She even gave me tips on blow drying my hair at home and how to use different hair tools and products.  

Dry House has several different signature styles - Cameron and I both went for the 305 (mermaid waves).  Sadly we both had to decline the champagne they offered (both with our baby bumps), but that would have been such a lovely accompaniment to our experience.  This is a great place to treat yourself, get ready for an event (they have a makeup stylist you can book appointments with too), a bachelorette, bridal, or girls night out party. So glad to have found them.  

With our hairs all perfectly did, Cameron and I set out to one of my favorite Nashville murals to snap some shots.  We ended our day with backyard bbq and play with our kiddos and husbands.  A perfect afternoon.
