Batch

There is something exciting happening over in my neck of the woods -- especially for someone who loves curated goodies in the mail and loves supporting local businesses. And, there is a lot more than that to love about Batch Nashille, like creativity, good cheer, and quality.  I was so excited to have the opportunity to get to share them with you today.  And before you say "wait! I don't live in Nashville - what does this have to do with me?"... you should know that they ship anywhere in the US and Candada.  There is also a Batch for Mephis... and maybe, just maybe more cities for Batch in the future?? (spilling some news here -- they actually are adding more cities, don't tell them I told you! but look for batches from Atlanta, Birmingham, New Orleans, Charleston, and Austin like super soon!)...

So what is Batch?  It's a curated monthly box of hand-crafted, artisinal, local & regional products shipped strait to your door.  Batch seeks seeks "fine ingredients, fine confections, fine purveyors, and fine goods" to package in each shipment.  It's a great way to discover new tastes and be introduced to and support small businesses.  It's a great way for locals to take pride in the artisans and creators to make up their city and enjoy all the little things that make our city great, but I can also see this as a great gift for those outside our city.

I love my city.  I'm always wanting friends and family to visit and to be able to show them all the special things I'm proud of and enjoy.  Batch would be a great gift to send Nashville to them.  Or a great gift for a local at heart -- someone who might still call Nashville home but lives outside of it's reach.  A college student, a missionary abroad, a friend who has been relocated or their job,... the perfect gift.

What was in my box --
Bang Candy Company handmade marshmallows
White's Elixirs hand crafted cinnamon simple syrup
Tempur by CG Troufles

This would be the perfect box for a special date night in with your dude or with girlfriends.  For me, I'm thinking two hours on the couch watching PBS, Downton Abbey followed by Sherlock... These yummy snacks and a cinnamon-y cocktail plus some husband cuddles.  Yup!  Sounds perfectly yummy and cozy to me!

Like a good little blogger I waited to fully open this box and restrained myself from devouring it all until I could take pictures of the packaging.  I thought I had succeeded, had already popped a few of the truffles (which were so so yummy and fresh), and was on my way to take the box to recycling... when I noticed...

Yup.  I missed a goody. Cocktails napkins designed by Batch. And the winner is? ... my tummy and my mailbox.  I'm so glad to have gotten to enjoy these Nashville treats and look forward to more in the future.
