The Two G's - a Holiday Bucket List

A handful of weeks ago that sweet and clever gal Jessi of Naptime Diaries posted her Starbucks Card scan code on Instagram.  She said coffee was on her.  What!? So crazy cool and full of good cheer.  I didn't go to starbucks, but just the idea of it alone made me smile and gave me a more generous outlook on my day.  I also love little stories of people paying for the person behind them in line.  Like this hip chick "paying it backwards":

These seemingly small gestures are such a fun way to spread Christmas cheer.  Over the next week my family and I will set out together to participate in acts of kindness.  I've found lots of inspiration for ideas to reach out to my community through Courtney's Light 'Em Up challenge.  Check out her blog about how you can join in and find lots of ideas and printables to help teach your children about gratitude and generosity (the two G's) this Christmas.

I've made a small Holiday Bucket List that is hopefully just the catalyst for lost of giving activities this season for my family.  Stay tuned.  I think this is going to lead to some fun adventures for my little crew of four and I'll be sure to document them and share them here.

What about you?  Do you have some favorite ways to spread Holiday Cheer?  How do you teach your kids about the two G's?

Earlier this year, Ford partnered with 100 creative personalities on YouTube to test drive a brand new Ford Fiesta for an entire year. Each month, these YouTube “Agents” (as seen in the video above) are tasked to complete a creative mission, capturing the experience on camera and posting it on their YouTube channels.  This post was sponsored & inspired by the Ford Fiesta Movement, but all opinions and stylings are my own.

  2. I have done all of the above at various times, one time I wrote hand written notes and included $5 bills and taped them to various gas pumps. That was fun!
