When I was pregnant with H I already had in mind that I would need some leather skinnies as soon as I was postpartum. They are a newer trend, so I was a bit nervous. I have love love LOVED these faux leather leggings from Karen Kane. They are more of a faux suede almost so not quite as shinny -- the perfect first step into leather I think. I have dressed them up and dressed them down. They are perfect. This has been my go-to outfit for fancy things lately. Weddings, dates,... lace & leather. Can't go wrong.

Eeeeep. I have been dying for a pair of faux leather leggings. I love the look of these suede babies and think you are exactly right that they would be a great baby-step into the leather look. And I love that rockin' messy hair look. That pixie is growing out quite nicely!
