jonesing for fall favorites
2. Dark cuffed skinny jeans. A staple.
3. asked for this scarf from stitch fix
5. treated myself to After School Boy Blazer & Good as Gold polishes by Essie
The ever so brilliant and inspiring Anne of Green Gables (que the collective eye rolling of my brothers-in-law) got it quite right -- "I'm so glad to live in a world with Octobers!" I keep it no secret, I have a love affair with the fall. Everything about it. It's crispy-ness, smell of dry leaves, the noises, the clothes, the food, the festivities... ahhhh! Everyone breath and rejoice for Fall!
I get really giddy about fall styles. This fall I'm especially jonesing to get into some new (non-maternity) trends. However slow of a process it will be to get there and whatever "new" size I might have to buy, I'm looking forward to getting back into "real" clothes this season.
Here's my sweats, 4-day-hair, no make up look (not that there is anything wrong with that!) that I've been rocking lately...
This is not a "oh man, look at poor Blair, she has lost herself" picture. It's a - "Blair is super comfortable and enjoying resting with her new family of four and taking things one day at a time and is fully confident in her unbathed sweat wearing self" picture. I have no qualms with any woman who calls this their normal "uniform," but albeit comfy, I miss creating and getting dressed in actual outfits -- but this body just ain't fitting in too much these days and this wallet ain't buying new stuff either. (Yes, I know I just had a baby 2 1/2 weeks ago. I have no means of rushing myself, I'm just saying...)
So as part of my latest style challenge from the #fordfiestamovement, I'm gonna jump on in and work myself up a fall favorite outfit that will work for me... you know, when the sweats are in the wash. I might even put on make up and might (this is a big might) get my hair cut... bangs?
Look for a non-sweats post next week! Also, check out this agent's style challenge video -- love a good closet re-do!
And for real -- should I get bangs again?

I love bangs but mainly because I can't have them (I mean it. I've asked multiple hairdressers and they all refuse me!). So I say go for it! Also-- you look so cozy with that little man that I'm gald you're not rushing back into real-world wear. Rock those sweats, mama!
ReplyDeleteYou rock it well girl! And this nail polish! I'm seeing it everywhere. I'm gonna have to look into it. Not that I paint my nails but twice a year, but maybe I would if the polish were that awesome. Who knows? ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm newish around here, but I just wanted to say congratulations on your beautiful little boy!
ReplyDeletelove every single piece- however, sweats are way more comfortable for playing with those little ones and you look adorable either way!!
