Coffee & Books

I've said it several times.  I'm not a "reader."  But... I did start reading Les Mis on David's iPad mini before Christmas.  But it didn't quite stick... I needed paper to really get into it.  Then I found the pretty Penguin Hardback Classics version of the book on sale on Amazon ($16!).  Clicked. Ordered. Delivered... and now I can't wait to read everyday.  Still might take me a year... but I'm reading!!

And what pairs great with a good book?  You know the answer...  good coffee!  Something super fun is that some of our good friends are roasters -- They are actually hosting a KickStarter campaign right now to raise funds for a new roasting machine!  If you like good {ORGANIC & FAIR TRADE} coffee and/or like supporting small businesses, please consider giving to their campaign and supporting Bookish Coffee.  You can check it out and watch their (very awesome) video by clicking HERE.  And... the way kickstarter works, you get some swag for giving... just saying.  Check it out.

update: just found a FREE kindle edition of Les Miserables on Amazon.

  1. I am such a visual person.. So I am more likely to read a book with a beautiful cover! Shallow? Maybe. A good cup of coffee basically goes well with everything :) Love your new banner!

    1. Isis like how easy I could highlight etc with the iPad. And I could look words up and make notes. And not feel like I was ruining the pages. :). But the real book is doing much better for me. Thanks for the banner love!
