a magic cape halloween

We're not really doing anything Halloween-y over here.  Both David and I always trick-or-treated growing up.  I'm not per se against it... as an adult with a child, it kind of now freaks me out.  I love where we live, but not sure I would ever sent my tyke out to knock on strangers' doors.  Not here.  Alas... she is too young so I don't have to even think about it too much right now.  Dress up is always fun though! -- In new clothes or in costumes!  I am love love loving my new cape c/o Conversation Pieces.  The perfect vintage/classic twist - warm and functional.

Also make sure you check out Karen London jewelry if you haven't already.  Most of my go-to jewelry is from this great designer.  Lots of celebrities like it too (name drop -- miley, rhianna, kristin stewert...)!  You might recognize some of the pieces from Urban Outfitters stores.  Great statement pieces!

And... for Halloween... here's a treat for you! --

We just had Sandy pass through over here, but I'm hoping we still get a few trick-or-treaters tonight.

  12. i was going to write to check for razor blades too... but thought that was too scary. but i remember that being a big thing me and my friends were scared of -- that people would hide sharp things in our candy! is that just me? or was that everywhere?
