I'm not really a  huge reader... but I do really like books and I do really like bloggers.  The other day on twitter I sent out a few tweets for favorite books and this is the list that came back.  Learning people's favorite things is such a fun glimpse into who they are!!  (I hope to - from time to time - do other blogger pick lists... movies, albums, etc.)

Check out the books & links above and go say hi to these book lovin' ladies.  And tell me... whats YOUR favorite book?  Are you an avid reader?  Where do you like to read?  I really do wish I read more -- teach me your reading ways...

  1. Local Book club? :) You pick. Haha! I have read so many books in my life that it was definitely hard to pick the one that I picked. But it is a classic and it's wholesome and I can't wait to read it to my son. He's a little too young (in my opinion) at age 6.5 to feel that heartbreak from the story just yet. Or maybe I'm just not ready for it. ;)

But for real, I have always wanted to start a small local book club and if you are at all interested, just let me know. I love books and I love hosting events. Perfect combo!

And this is definitely a great list. I've read 7 books on here and they were all SO GOOD. Great picks, girls!

  2. I am a huge redeeming love fan. I could probably read it cover to cover in one sitting if I could ignore all else for a day. My favorite place to read is at the library, I don't like to be interrupted!

  8. These are such great selections!
I have so many favorites, but one of them is The Forgotten Garden, by Kate Morton. It's a generational mystery that is extremely well-written. Bits of fairy tales entwine with history and mystery.

  9. I looove to read. I used to read SO MUCH, but then I got married...now the time I used to spend reading right before I fall asleep is spent cuddling with my sweet husband. :) I really like classics; Jane Austen's Persuasion, Sherlock Holmes, The Three Musketeers & The Count of Monte Cristo are all favorites. Thanks for sharing these, I definitely added some to my "to read soon" list!

  10. I am such a nerd! I can't live without books. ;) I couldn't ever pick a favorite although I love anything by Jane Austen, Madeline L'Engle, C.S. Lewis, and Tolkien! ;) Hubby got me a Kindle Fire for mother's day this year and it has been so incredible to have my library with me wherever I go. ;)
