Pick my Pixie!

We did it y'all!  We have successfully raised enough money ($1,200) to take three women off the streets of Ethiopia and give them a year of holistic rehabilitation!

So you know what that means... this girl is getting her pixie!

In just the first 10 days of this project y'all totally blew my goal out of the water!  We are now at $1,399 -- well on our way to funding a fourth woman!!  Here's the deal... y'all were so speedy in helping me reach my goal that I still need to pick a salon, have a consultation, etc.  So while all that is going on -- in the days left in August we are going to keep pushing forward.  We are going to keep helping women in need.  The goal was three and we rocked that!  The hair is coming off.  Now let's see how much more we can give.

Continue on this journey with me will you?  I'll be sharing stories about women here on my blog & I'm also doing a bit of a "blog tour" sharing about the Pixie Project on some great blogs around the web (and the globe)!  I'll also be starting some conversations about fashion, femininity, and what this project means to me as a woman and as a mother.  For today though...

A penny for your thoughts:
Help style my pixie.  What do you think about the following cuts? Leave me a comment and let me know what you think.  Or, if you have a different one in mind leave me a link.

Okay.  So what do you think.  1. 2. 3. or 4? Or something different all together?
(and I really will give you a penny, promise - just give me your address... i'm not even kidding on this)

  8. I've had short hair for over 10 years. (I rocked the faux hawk last year). My suggestions are the following:
find a stylist who SPECIALIZES in short hair. (most likely has a cute short cut themselves).
make sure there is texture/piece-y-ness cut into it so it avoids the helmet look.
USE PRODUCT. (redken wool shake, wax blast are awesome for adding texture. and of course a pomade).
depending on your hair type, i think # 3 may get a little bulky with that much length in the bangs, but totally just my opinion.
you are going to look AWESOME. cannot WAIT to see it!

    1. Thank you so much for the advice. So helpful! I've promised myself that I'll treat myself to the nice product and not the cheap stuff from Walgreens that never works. Lol

  9. Congrats! What an awesome response.

I like #3 because her face shape is very similar to yours. I would definitely say go with something similar to that with the bangs. It will be very similar to your current look and so not quite as much of a shock. ;) I am so excited to see what you decide. You will definitely look amazing!
