viva vida

Sorry     No... I don't think I'll start this post with an apology.  I was going to to say that I am sorry for being such an absent blogger.  And that yatta yatta yatta I'm just busy and I promise to start wowing your socks off again soon... BUT. I just can't say sorry.  Where have I been?  Living life - thats where! & I just can't be sorry for that! - Living life for me right now includes trying (however sadly failing) to keep my floors & house clean for my newly mobile baby, going to middle school plays and basketball games for my youth kids, sipping coffee with friends, watching Oscar nominated movies with my hubs, deciding to run and train for the 1/2 marathon again this year, visiting with family and friends who swing through town,  making salted carmel butter bars, and just so much more that fills my cup.

I struggle back and forth with coming up with "stuff" to blog about and have probably started half a dozen posts just to scrap them.  I figure you don't need to see what I've pinned -- chances are you've already seen it.  I could do a post on all the clothes from j.crew I love and want to buy (but will probably never own) -- but again, chances are, you've seen them.  Why blog that stuff?  Its just not authentic to me & I don't find them worth taking the time from "life" to stop and blog about.  I don't want to blog for the sake of blogging.

So... when I have something that I want to share or personally record to remember in my "latter years" you'll find me here.  Blogging is still something I enjoy.  I like sharing my life with you & love the way that you rejoice in my joys with me.  You, my readers, provide me with so much encouragement and just straight up fun!  I am so thankful for you.

This is by no means any sort of "goodbye" just an answer to anyone who might be thinking "hmm, that girl Blair used to blog like every day - wonder whats up with her blogging only once or twice a week...!"

  1. you go girl :) I feel like that too sometimes... blogging (good blogging that is) is an art and you need to be inspired or it's just flat. When I can't get into a groove I just post the regular deals. -A.S. @ becausecheaperisbetter.blogspot.com

  2. I remember last year you saying that the blog was shifting from frivolous things to more heartfelt posts. I loved that because it let me get to know you better. So whenever you are here on the blog I will definitely be stopping by.

  3. Considering I've been on a 5 month blogging hiatus, I totally know where you're coming from. I think you've explained yourself so well and I, too, just like Tiffany, will look forward to stopping by when you've got something to say. : )

  4. Ah, no biggie. You keep living your life and enjoy it!
I've barely been able to squeeze blogging in every day lately and feel its a stress to make sure its up daily, so I'm understanding your living life right now and blogging later.

You know we're all here when you jump back. :) Emily at Amazing Grapes

  6. I love the way you've put this. Blogging shouldn't really be an obligation. Last night My husband and I were talking about blogging and I made the comment that once it stops being fun and starts feeling like a job or a chore, I'm going to stop, take a few steps back and reflect. You've summed everything up really well. I love your blog and reading your posts so I'm still going to have an eye out for more <3
