Double Ain't

It ain't healthy & it ain't pretty...

BUT, it's G double O D - GOOD!

I would tell you what it is... but I'm not even sure it has a name (I guess it is a cobbler?)!  The good news is that it is super easy -- I'm talking fool proof!

Ingredients:
Big can of Peaches
Box of plain white cake mix
Stick of butter
Brown Sugar
Walnuts

how:
pour whole can of peaches in baking dish
empty dry cake mix on top
spread walnuts of desired amount on top
sprinkle handful of brown sugar on top of all that
evenly distribute stick of butter in thin pats
put in oven
bake at 350 for about 20ish minutes

your house will smell like a birthday cake dream & your mouth will thank you! {by the way, speaking of birthday cake scent -- did any of you have the birthday cake lipsmackers lip gloss?!}

  1. Hey, they always say never judge a book by it's cover. This sounds amazing. I'm such a cobbler person. So easy and totally hits the spot. Especially when you aren't in the mood to make homemade pie crust. Thanks for sharing the recipe =)

  4. Yummm...I love anything that has a crumble on top, add peaches and I'm in heaven! This is actually called a "dump cake" because you dump all the ingredients in and bake!

  6. I have totally made this before! I call it "Dump Cake" because pretty much all you have to do is dump all of the ingredients and bake it.

And I will agree with you that it is SOO GOOD! I always eat mine warmed up with vanilla ice cream.

    YUM!

  7. My favorite line is :stick of butter. No knife cutting needed here!

  8. Yum! We make something really similar as our go to "oh-crap-company-is-going-to-be-here-in-10-minutes-and-i-haven't-grocery-shopped-in-two-weeks!" dessert!

    2 cans cherry pie filling
    1 box yellow cake mix
    2 sticks butter (scandalous, really)

Pour cherry pie filling into 13x9, pour yellow cake mix over top, melt butter and pour over cake mix. Bake at 375 for 25 minutes or until crispy and browned.

Seriously, make this soon!! (And I will make your peach version!)

    YUM!!!

  10. That's dump cake! I usually make it with a can of crushed pineapples, can of cherry pie filling, box of yellow cake mix, and a stick of butter cut over the top of it and baked in a 350 degree oven until bubbly. This variation looks yummy!
