baby or guacamole?

{16, almost 17 weeks}
According to the bump.com, last week little McBaby was the size of an avocado - 4.5 inches!  A few days ago David and I had this gchat convo that left me giggling...

david: any requests from the grocery store?
me:  fruit
an avocado
so i can eat my baby
preferably one that is 4 1/2 inches
david:  nice
i'll bring the measuring tape.
me:  perfect! I sure do love you


Well, I was planning on making some guacamole for this post, but for two reasons, decided against it - 1. I was feeling lazy yesterday and never got any tomatoes and when I got home late from work decided to watch the most horrible show in the world that I have no idea why i watch (the bachelor -- gasp!) while I did a bit of cleaning/nesting... and 2.  although tasting super yummy, my guacamole is nothing special and is too simple to bother sharing.  So instead, why not try my dear buddy, Alton Brown's, Roasted Chile Guacamole (pictured above)!

On another note, we find out the gender two weeks from yesterday (feb. 14th)!!  What's your guess or gut reaction to what little McBaby will be??

    Don't let a good avacado go to waste! Guacamole was my craving (and still is) when I was pregnant...at least it's a healthy one!

    You look beautiful! Pregnancy looks great on you. During the latter part of my pregnancy, I craved guacamole like crazy. I think it had something to do with the fat content. Anyway, enjoy! You might have to make a milder version once the heartburn settles in!

    i have a theory that mamas "know" the gender, deep down, even if they don't admit it to anyone. that's how it was with isaiah anyway.
