Meet Bonnie.  A sweet friend of mine {and sponsor of Wild & Precious}.  I know you'll love her!

Q: What made you decide to start an etsy shop?

A: I have been making jewelry since middle school (although that consisted more of hemp bracelets and plastic beaded chokers) and as my skills and taste progressed, I started selling my pieces to friends and family. After several years of that and admiring Etsy as a site, I had plans for opening up a shop. However it was Blair of W&P herself, whom I met working at Siloam Family Health Center, who really put the pressure on me to open one last February. I had brought my pieces in to work and she insisted that I make myself a presence on the web immediately.

Q: Tell us about the inspiration behind your blog?

A: My blog is something new I started recently. I have many different friends and family in various places, but they all know me as a crafter. I have been creating things my whole life and am always picking up new crafty hobbies. I am blogging to share my current activities with people I know, to meet new people with similair interests and possibly inspire others with some of the projects I try. I feel like my interest in this area is inexhaustible but most often it is something done by myself, so with this blog I am hoping to share this part of my life. Who knows, perhaps some other people will find reading it fun!

Q: Favorite celebrities you would like to craft for?

A: Natalie Portman, Kate Winslet and Rachel Bilson are three celebrities who I would love to meet and would be honored to create somethng for. Their style seems so effortless yet always fantastic, classy but still exciting.

Q:  How is your personal style reflected in your creations?

A: I like my style to be fashionable, often taking into account current trends, but putting my own spin on things to make them unique and it always always has to look easy and effortless. I like making jewelry that does that same thing. I strive to make my pieces versatile so they can be worn several ways, and also of a high quality without the high price. I think I love creating things, whether it is jewelry, clothes, accessories, pottery, mosaics, furniture or anything else I am working on, because of the feeling of having something handmade. As opposed to always trying to get the cheapest or most popular item, I enjoy wearing a necklace that I designed with lots of thought, or drinking out of a mug which I made from a hunk of mud.
