Q: What inspired you to start your shop?
A: A few years ago I spotted a bag that I really wanted, but I didn't like the fabrics that they offered. So I thought I'd try to make one myself, and was successful! I've always enjoyed fabric and sewing and I absolutely love accessories! I'd always be shopping for wallets, purses, etc, so it was the perfect combination for me....sewing accessories. I discovered Etsy shortly after through a craft blog and right away I knew I wanted to set up shop! It's been such a fun ride so far and I can't wait to see what the future holds!

Q: Have you always been a creator/crafter?
A: I've always been interested in crafting, ever since I was young. I would use my mum's sewing machine to whip up things or customize clothing. You could often find me in my room sketching designs out. Not too sure that any of those designs were runway worthy, but it was fun to do!

Q: Are there other things you'd like to create in the future and ad to your shop?
A: Absolutely! I'm in the process of designing some clutches (hoping to have them in the shop by the end of October, beginning of November) and I have a few new accessories sketched out that I'm waiting to make. I have so many ideas for new items, it's hard to stay focused at times, I just want to make everything at once!

Q: Is there a specific designer or crafter you look up to?
A: I wouldn't say that there is one designer/crafter that I look up to (although Martha Stewart and Amy Butler are unbelievably talented!) but I definitely get inspired and motivated by fellow crafters on Etsy, in magazines or on blogs. It's an amazing community!

Q: Any other sites or stores where we can find your work? Are you on twitter/facebook etc.?
A: I currently only sell my items on Etsy, but am hoping to start selling them through local shops. I am on twitter: @ellivenstudio I am loving twitter right now! It's so fun to be able to check in with people and to update everyone on how my day is going and how the shop is progressing!
