Meet Christie, aka CB -- the oh-so-fun and beautiful gal behind the blog City Bird's Nest & the hip etsy shop of the same name and one of Wild & Precious' monthly sponsors!

Q: What inspired you to start your etsy store?
A: i started my etsy back when i was in college. i started painting my little chickies and everyone really loved them and around that time someone had mentioned etsy so i gave it a shot. i ended up giving away all my paintings as presents so i stopped for a while..plus school was ending and it was getting crazy...i started in full force a year ago i like selling my crafts in person but etsy is a great place!

Q: How is your personal style reflected in your creations?
A: i think my style has a little bit of funkiness and retroness (is that a word?) to it which shows through my color choices, fabric and overall aesthetic . i love contrasting bright colors together and for sure that shows in my handmade crafts :)

Q: If you could see something you created on any 2 celebrities, who would you pick?
A: i think zooey deschanel for sure! i just love her style! i know for sure she would LOVE my bike embroidery as she is a fellow rider :)

Q: Do you listen to music when you craft? If so, who?
A: oh yes! i listen to a bunch of stuff sometimes shuffle on itunes which goes through..marina & the diamonds, led zeppelin, motely crue, nazareth, gladys knight, al green, outkast, earth wind and fire and many many other new and mostly old artists...i can't craft and NOT listen to music...it's like having a peanut butter sandwich without jelly...one without the other is just plain insane!
