Monday Miscellany

{one} I had so much stinkin' fun with Ms. Sandy a la Mode last week. Since it was her first time in Nashville - I decided to take her honky tonking. Sandy, wish you lived here -- I know we would be real life bff. This was my first blogger meet up & I loved it! I so hope to get to meet more of my blogger buddies!

...Sandy & I did some good Nashville style line dancing at the Wild Horse Saloon & then took a little stroll down Broadway...

{two} Has anyone seen Remember Me? While I was watching it, I thought to myself, "Self, this might be one of my favorite movies." But at the end I thought to myself, "Self, we are never ever under any circumstances watching this movie again!" I'm not joking, I boohooed for 20 minutes after it was over. I don't want to ruin it for anyone, but if you would like a fair warning before watching it, message me and I'll give you a heads up. But anywhoo -- Remember Me is now on the same list as The Notebook, Green Mile, and Thin Red Line. The Do-not-in-your-sane-mind-watch-again list.

{three} My 2nd Siloamaversary is this week. I have now proudly been the Volunteer Coordinator at Siloam Family Health Center for two lovely years.

{four} Bus Driver... MOVE THAT BUS! Ty and crew just finished a new build here in the Nashville area and I swung by to try to watch the reveal. In the last couple weeks the Extreme Home Makeover Team constructed a brand new school that had before met its demise in the May floods. As you might imagine, with filming for tv, nothing really went as scheduled. After a couple hours of waiting for the reveal, my 9-month-pregnant friend and I decided we would just wait to see it on TV (airs Nov. 7th).

{five} Do you have an outfit that you literally might wear at least once a week? I can't stop wearing my anthro dress. I mean, if you wear it in front of different crowds, does it really matter?

I'm wearing it HERE & HERE too!

{six} congrats to Esther of Love in Letters, random.org #210, winner of my Bird in Flight necklace giveaway. Congrats Esther & a huge thanks to Nicole! Speaking of giveaways, I plan on winning some Uggs over at Clothed Much -- but you can try to out-win me if you really want to!

I won't ever watch it again but there are some great quotes I got out of that movie. And it looks like you and Sandy had sooo much fun! Love the pictures! Happy Monday! <333

  12. Different crowds = legit excuse to wear the same outfit weekly... (I'm most definitely guilty of this. Particularly when it comes to a certain J. Crew classic tunic shirt. If there's a different belt, it's a different outfit, I say!)

Oh, and I've seen The Notebook about 33 times... I've sobbed (literally, whole-body-shaking sobbed) Every. Single. Time.

What sort of self-torture is that? (Answer: the self-torture of a hopeless, hopeless romantic.)

    Happy Monday!! :)

  35. Move that Bus!! Haha, that's pretty cool. One of my great friends since we were 12 works for Extreme Makeover Home Edition, and they were filming in Oregon near where I live. I was able to visit on set, spend the day with them, and then I actually got my hair/makeup done and got to be a ZOMBIE for the Halloween episode! Very exciting, I can't wait to see it on TV. I'm the only one with a skirt and big bow in my hair :D
