Vintage Ring Giveaway

I'm back with another fun giveaway! Courtney from Grea Dawn is giving away this fashion ring made from a vintage earring (I only wish I was eligible to win, I'm loving this!). I asked Courtney a couple questions about her style & inspiration...

Q: What made you start crafting and designing?

A: I always liked being crafty and creating things, but never really had the time or energy to do anything more than scrapbook for my kids. On mother's day, 7 years ago, my mom and I were shopping at Fred Segal in LA and saw some amazing hair accessories, but unfortunately I could only afford to buy one due to their HIGH prices. My mom then looked at me and said, "you could make those," and that's when it all began. I stated making hair accessories and selling them at local street fairs for moms like me who couldn't afford a $100 hair clip. One thing led to another and I met the hair people for Days of Our Lives and they asked me down to do the accessories for the actress on the show. My accessories have also been seen ins several Teen People magazines and Shape magazine. I recently changed the name since my accessories have really evolved. It used to be Girls' Night OUt and now I have moved to a more generic name that really can encompass just about anything I create... Grae Dawn!

Q: How do you think accessories & tattoos (since I see you love them) can help express your personality?

A: So tattoos...some may not agree, but I love them. I think they express who I am, what I've been through and what is important to me. I guess you could say I wear my heart on my sleeve. If you look at my tattoos you can tell who I am. I am someone who loves God, loves my family, I miss my dad terribly and I think birds are rad! Just like tattoos, my hair accessories express how I am feeling... funky, sophisticated, or even whimsical. I try to create things for everyone and in every price range! I hope you love everything I make and share it with your friends. xo
